NDA-Informed Training Information Webinar
This one hour webinar offers a vital overview of the support and services needed for survivors impacted by non-disclosure agreements (NDAs). NDAs impose silence, deepening trauma through institutional betrayal and secondary wounding. The webinar also provides an overview of the legal meaning and consequences of an NDA, so that participants can recognize the key features of an NDA. Designed and delivered by trauma-informed therapist Kristina Fifield and Can't Buy My Silence Co-Founder and law professor Julie Macfarane, the session explores the far-reaching impacts of NDAs, their role in perpetuating systemic inequities, and practical strategies for service providers and peers to offer accurate legal information and meaningful support. As part of a pilot initiative, this webinar aims to empower survivors and promote informed, compassionate care.
Registration is required but can be anonymous. A token registration of $10 is asked for which goes to support the work of Can't Buy My Silence.
Extended NDA-Informed Training Webinar
This more in-depth and interactive training webinar addresses the urgent need for support and services for survivors impacted by non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), whether they are considering signing or have already signed an NDA. NDAs silence individuals, compounding their trauma through institutional betrayal and secondary wounding. Led by trauma-informed therapist Kristina Fifield and Can't Buy My Silence Co-Founder and law professor Julie Macfarlane, the webinar covers key topics, including the legal basics of NDAs, their systemic injustices, and their connection to the continuum of violence. It delves into the profound trauma NDAs inflict on survivors, offers practical tools to support them effectively, and explores ways to integrate justice-focused initiatives into practice. Participants will also gain insights into creating survivor-focused support and information systems, building agency capacity, and fostering sustainable peer-to-peer programs. This extended session allows for time for questions and discussion of real-life case studies in an interactive and collaborative learning experience.
Both these pilot initiatives seek to empower survivors, promote informed care, and inspire systemic change.
